As you might be aware, the venue we had booked for Mr Harbour City Bears has closed permanently, so we had to rebook the event on short notice. Luckily the Imperial had a last minute change in availability so we’ve been able to book it for the Friday.

Now that we’ve had time to breathe, we can see that The Imperial would be a much better venue for Bear Pit, and the Paddo RSL works well as the venue for the Mr HCB contest, so we’ve decided to swap the events.

Bear Pit will now take place at 8pm on Friday 23rd August at The Imperial, and Mr Harbour City Bears will take place at 7pm on Saturday 24th August.

BEARHAIN #2 after the succes of the first is returning on March 22. 

The first in a series of community led events is soon to be followed by INFINITY and Furrocious!  Rather than the committee determing and running such events, they have come from people we know and trust in the Bear community. They wish to get small format dance parties up an running and Harbour City Bears have the means to support and foster such intiatives.  Ultimately they may outgrow the venue and no longer need our support which we will happily welcome.  Please support these initiatives if they're your jam!

Another year of Mardi Gras comes to a close and another Bear Essentials program has run for the 28th time!  Lots of great times being had by our community bringing people together who may not necessarily cross paths any other way.  Keep an eye out as we receive photos from our official photographer Ann-Marie and plenty of selfies etc on line.

Professional Performing artist since 1994, Diniz performed for Dance-Theatre companies in Portugal, France, Belgium and India. With pieces that go from street performance to stage works, always with a main emphasis in interactive and audience participation.

A interpreter will be present on the night!
